Hello!
Thank you for participating in today’s CyberGirlsFirst escape room challenge. We’re excited to have you here!
As you progress through the challenges, remember to look carefully for clues and think critically about what you see. Not everything is as it seems in the digital world!
Pay close attention to emails and online communications – they might contain important clues, but also important lessons about staying safe online.
If you need any assistance, please speak to one of our volunteers.
Good luck and have fun!
Best regards,
The CyberGirlsFirst Team

🚨 Suspicious Sender Address
Look closely! The domain uses a “1” (one) instead of “i” (letter i) in “girls”. This is a common phishing technique called “typosquatting” where attackers use similar-looking domains to trick you.
Real domain: cybergirlsfirst.com
Fake domain: cyberg1rlsfirst.com
🚨 Creating Urgency
Phishing emails often use urgent language and threats to make you act quickly without thinking. Words like “URGENT”, “IMMEDIATELY”, “SUSPENDED”, or “EXPIRED” are red flags.
Legitimate organisations will never pressure you to act immediately on important account matters via email.
Dear User,
We have detected unusual activity on your account. Your account will be suspended within 24 hours unless you verify your identity immediately.
You must to click the link below to verify your account details and prevent suspension:
🚨 Poor Grammar
Notice the grammatical error: “You must to click” instead of “You must click”. Professional organisations proofread their communications carefully.
Poor grammar, spelling mistakes, and awkward phrasing are common signs of phishing emails.

🚨 Suspicious Link
This link goes to “verify-account-secure.tk” – not the official CyberGirlsFirst domain! The “.tk” extension is a free domain often used by scammers.
Red flags in this URL:
- Different domain than sender
- Uses “.tk” (free domain service)
- Generic “verify-account” name
Never click suspicious links! Hover over links to check where they really go before clicking.
Please provide the following information to verify your identity:
- Full name and date of birth
- Email address and password
- Credit card number for verification
🚨 Requesting Sensitive Information
Legitimate organisations will NEVER ask you to provide passwords, credit card numbers, or other sensitive information via email.
This is a major red flag! Any email requesting such information is almost certainly a phishing attempt.
Failure to verify within 24 hours will result in permanent account deletion.
Regards,
IT Security Team
